The Mill Machinery

The two uprights and the horizontal beam above the large gear wheel is more correctly known as the "Hurst Frame" The horizontal beam projecting through the nearest vertical is a "tentering" beam. Tentering is an old term for tensioning but in this case it is the mechanism used to adjust the gap between the grindstones.
